Do Something New in The Face of Fear

I am very productive.  Some would say too productive.  I tend to over think in the face of doing a new task.

I put a lot of thought into how to get the moss off my roof.  I put a lot of thought into doing stuff I have never done- no matter how silly the new task is.

In fact, I have a tendency to over complicate and over contemplate just about any new and out of the ordinary task..  Why?  New and out of the ordinary is new and out of the ordinary.  It is beyond my comfort. I am used to staying in areas where I am comfortable, yet I yearn for newness.

When I did get on the roof and tamed the moss it was no big deal- it was not hard or complicated.  It was easy-so easy, I had made the idea of clearing my roof complicated.  Just like I had made buying a house, investing money, dating.  Not complicated at all- all of it was easy once I was doing it.

When we do something new our world opens and expands.  Why do young people act young?  Because they are in the newness of life.  They are having "firsts" all the time: first kiss, first car, first prom.

Doing something new tames your disposition to over think, over worry, overcontinplate.

What if you did something new everyday?  ummmmm
